Online casino Norway: the best Malta casinos for Norwegian players

What is a Malta casino?

In Norway, people search for «malta casino», and what they mean is an online casino with a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority, or MGA for short. The MGA is the authority in Malta that grants licences to gaming companies. So the name points to the casino’s licensing, rather than just a connection with Malta.

To get an MGA licence, the company behind the casino must be registered in Malta. The licence is then listed in the public register at authorisation.mga.org.mt. That gives you somewhere to check the licence details, with the company name and licence number as your starting points.

The MGA also sets requirements for the casino’s terms and for paying out winnings.

A licence number looks like this: MGA/B2C/1072/2024. B2C means games offered to players, followed by the number and the year. It is a fairly compact reference, but it identifies the licence more clearly than simply saying that a casino is licensed in Malta.

For an example, Slamz and SlotHeart are run by Elvel Limited, company number C109723, under licence MGA/B2C/1072/2024. Here you have the casino names, the company behind them and the licence number together, rather than a licence claim on its own.

The term is also used about the land-based casinos on the island. This site, though, is about online casinos you can play at from Norway. On the cards in the top list, you see the licence number and the company before you click, so those details are there from the start.

Which casinos in the list hold a licence from Malta?

A Malta connection does not always mean an MGA licence, and that is the distinction to keep in mind here. Of the 30 casinos, 12 hold an MGA licence: Slamz, Huzzlin, SlotHeart, SlotSpice, Reblz, SpinSkull, Quickz, FreeSpinza, LunarSpins, Valhalla Wins, Go4Casino and LuckyTrunk.

Winsly and SlotOwl have a Malta connection too, but a different one. Both are run by Frenwall Limited, a company registered in Malta under registration number C113111. Their gambling licence comes from the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, EMTA, not the MGA. So the company’s registration and the authority issuing the licence need to be read separately.

The remaining casinos hold licences from Anjouan, Kahnawake or Tobique. Each casino’s card states which applies.

The dates also give a clearer picture. Reblz has held its MGA licence from 18 December 2024. For Slamz and SlotHeart, the date is 23 July 2025, while Huzzlin, SlotSpice, SpinSkull and Quickz have licence dates of 29 January 2026.

Then there is L.C.S Limited, which runs FreeSpinza and four sister casinos. It has held licence MGA/B2C/233/2013 since 2013 and has its office in Ta’ Xbiex, Malta.

Which casinos share the same owner?

Many casinos share a company, a licence and terms, which is useful to know when you compare them. Different names and designs do not necessarily mean different operators, so the company name is worth checking alongside the casino name.

Ludaro Limited runs Huzzlin, SlotSpice, SpinSkull and Quickz under MGA/B2C/1118/2025. Elvel Limited runs Slamz and SlotHeart under MGA/B2C/1072/2024. Those are two groups where you can match the names to a company and a specific licence number.

Then there is Frenwall Limited, which runs Winsly and SlotOwl. Hundise Limited runs Unlimit Casino, Winzie, LuckyJungle, Monsino and BetInferno with an Anjouan licence.

L.C.S Limited runs FreeSpinza, LunarSpins, Valhalla Wins, Go4Casino and LuckyTrunk, while RegalTech Solutions Limitada runs 55Bet, Qbet and 30Bet. That is quite a few casino names to keep track of, but grouping them by operator makes the comparison easier to follow.

The important distinction is between what sister casinos share and what differs. They often have the same wagering requirement and payment methods, but different welcome packages and designs. So a different-looking site is not, on its own, a reason to expect different terms. Equally, a shared operator does not mean the welcome package will be identical.

How do you choose a good online casino in Norway?

In Norwegian, an online casino is a «nettcasino» or a «casino på nett». The name changes, but the six things I look at stay the same: the licence and company, withdrawal times, wagering requirements, payment methods, game selection and whether you can use Norwegian kroner.

First comes the licence and the company behind the casino. The company name and licence number should be clearly shown in both the footer and the terms, and those details should match the register. It is not just about finding a licence number somewhere on the site. The details need to line up.

Then there is the withdrawal time, where the quick headline and the processing time in the terms need to be read together. Slamz, Huzzlin and SlotSpice state that Instant Banking withdrawals often reach your account within minutes. At most casinos, the longest processing time stated in the terms is 48–72 hours.

The third thing is the wagering requirement. At the 14 casinos at the top of the list, it is 25x deposit + bonus. At Smash, Rivo and Wildzy, it is 10x, while at the L.C.S casinos it is 45x. The “deposit + bonus” wording matters when reading the 25x requirement.

Payment methods come next. Neither Vipps nor PayPal is offered by any of them. Revolut, Jeton, Apple Pay and bank transfer are common, while Trustly is available only at Unlimit Casino.

Then the games. There are thousands of slots, live casino and, at some of the casinos, a sportsbook too.

Finally, Norwegian kroner. Most casinos at the top of the list accept NOK and have a minimum deposit of NOK 200.

Which welcome bonus gives you the most?

The biggest package among the MGA casinos is shared by Slamz and SpinSkull: up to €1,200 plus 1,200 free spins on the first six deposits. That last part matters. This is a package across six deposits, not an amount attached to the first deposit alone.

Next come Quickz, with up to €1,150 plus 1,111 free spins, and SlotSpice, with up to €1,100 plus 1,100 free spins. Huzzlin offers €1,050 plus 1,150 free spins, while SlotHeart has up to €1,000 plus 888 free spins. The amounts here are in euro because that is how the casinos state them.

Reblz has a smaller headline package, up to €777 plus 777 free spins, but there is an important distinction: winnings from its free spins have no wagering requirement. That does not mean the whole package is wagering-free, so keep the free-spin winnings separate from the deposit bonus when comparing the terms.

Winsly goes in another direction, with up to 7,000 free spins on the first six deposits. SlotOwl is more of a classic deposit-bonus option: 100% up to €500 on the first deposit, with up to €1,500 over the first four deposits.

Then there are Smash, Rivo and Wildzy, all with 10x wagering. Their packages are spread over several deposits, though. Rivo’s offer is 1000% up to €10,000 over eight deposits, so the headline needs to be read alongside that deposit schedule.

And before choosing by size alone, look at the practical limits. At the casinos at the top of the list, the maximum bet with a bonus is €5 / NOK 50, and the deadline is 48 hours. Those conditions deserve as much attention as the bonus total.

How does the wagering requirement work?

The wagering requirement tells you how many times the bonus, and often your deposit too, must be played before you can withdraw. In Norwegian, this is called «omsetningskrav», and the bonus calculator on that page shows the sums.

I think of it a bit like a shopping voucher: the headline amount is only part of the deal. You need to read the conditions before deciding what it is worth to you.

Take 25x deposit + bonus. Deposit NOK 1,000 and receive a NOK 1,000 bonus, and you have NOK 50,000 in wagering to complete. That “deposit + bonus” wording makes quite a difference.

Smash and Rivo have 10x wagering requirements. Wildzy has 10x the bonus, but also caps winnings at 25x the bonus. So the multiplier is not the only number I look at.

FreeSpinza, LunarSpins, Valhalla Wins, Go4Casino and LuckyTrunk require 45x deposit + bonus. Jaabet, KumoBet, TrivelaBet and ProntoBet have 30x the bonus, with a three-day deadline.

Then there are the rules while you play. At the casinos at the top of the list, the maximum bet with an active bonus is €5 / NOK 50, and the deadline is 48 hours.

Slots usually count in full towards wagering; table games and live casino often count less. I would check those details alongside the multiplier, rather than treating a bigger bonus as automatically better.

How fast can you withdraw your winnings?

For withdrawals, it helps to separate the time a casino says it normally takes from the longest processing time allowed in its terms. Those are two different things, and the distinction matters when comparing the options.

Slamz, Huzzlin and SlotSpice state that withdrawals with Instant Banking often reach your account within minutes.

SlotHeart, Reblz, Winsly and SlotOwl normally process withdrawals the same banking day. Looking at the longest processing times in the terms, Reblz, Winsly and SlotOwl allow 48 hours. Most of the others allow 72 hours, while 55Bet lists 24 hours.

Before the first withdrawal, your account needs to be verified with ID and proof of address. Getting that done early makes the payout quicker.

The withdrawal normally goes back to the same method you used to deposit, so keep that in mind when looking at the withdrawal information.

Deposits and payments: NOK 200 and euro

The minimum deposit is €20 / NOK 200 at all 14 casinos at the top of the list. There are lower starting amounts elsewhere: 55Bet, Qbet and 30Bet start at €10. So the minimum is worth checking for the particular casino, rather than assuming it is the same across the list.

Bonus amounts are stated in euro, while most of the casinos at the top let you play in Norwegian kroner. Those are two separate details to keep in mind when comparing the figures: the currency used to present a bonus and the currency available for play.

As for payment methods, Vipps, PayPal, Klarna and Zimpler are not offered by any of the 30 casinos. The most common options are Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer and Jeton. Revolut is available at Reblz, Winsly, SlotOwl and Unlimit Casino, among others.

Apple Pay is another option, but not across the whole list. You will find it at Slamz, Huzzlin, SlotHeart, SlotSpice and Reblz. Trustly is more limited: it is only available at Unlimit Casino, which also offers MiFinity, Skrill and Neteller.

If your bank declines a card payment, Revolut, Jeton or bank transfer are alternatives. Which of those you can use depends on the casino, so it is worth checking the available methods before choosing one.

Crypto is available too, at Smash, Rivo, Wildzy and Qbet, among others. For the overview, the payment finder above shows which casino takes which method. That is the place to check a specific pairing, whether you are looking for a card option, an e-wallet or bank transfer.

What can you play at the Malta casinos?

Slots are the main offer at SlotHeart, SlotSpice and the other casinos at the top of the list, with thousands of titles to choose from. That is where most of the selection sits, but there is more than slots to look through.

Live casino is part of the offer too, with tables from Evolution, Pragmatic Play and other providers. Winzie, for example, has Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Ezugi and Stakelogic. There are also jackpot games and game shows such as Crazy Time, so the choice is not limited to reels or traditional casino tables.

Then there is sports betting. Reblz, Quickz and BetInferno also have their own sportsbook with odds, available on the same account as the casino. That is worth distinguishing from the casino selection itself: these three offer both.

One point to check before choosing a game is how it counts towards any wagering requirement. Table games and live casino often count less than slots, so playing them may contribute less towards meeting that requirement. The game selection and the wagering terms need to be read together.

How I check and rank the casinos

I read the terms, payment pages and licence details at every casino, and note the date of the check. These are the sources behind the assessment, rather than just the description a casino puts on its front page.

The weighting is split into five parts. Licence and company details count for 25%, and withdrawals and payments account for another 25%. Bonus terms make up 20%, game selection 15%, and mobile and customer service the remaining 15%. So half the assessment comes from who stands behind the casino and its payment arrangements. Bonuses matter, but they do not carry the whole review.

Where everything else is equal, casinos with an MGA licence and a Maltese company come first.

There is also a distinction worth keeping clear for Norwegian readers. Many sites listing «norske casinoer» (Norwegian casinos) mean casinos that accept Norwegian players. Here, I show who stands behind each one instead. Accepting players from Norway and identifying the company behind a casino are not the same thing.
